Denis McSweeney
Denis qualified as a solicitor in 1978 and has been Founding Partner of the Practice since its establishment in 1980.
Over the past 40 years, Denis has acquired extensive expertise across all areas of litigation and dispute resolution procedures including conciliation, mediation, and arbitration. He has considerable experience in handling complex commercial cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. He acts for clients in the conduct of proceedings across a wide range of practice areas, with particular focus on company, commercial and insolvency areas.
Denis advises the Practice’s corporate and private clients on various elements of their commercial requirements including corporate restructuring and insolvency law. He has advised insolvency professionals in a number of liquidations and receiverships. He also advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious commercial and residential property transactions and disputes.
